Adam D. Smith, professionally known as DJ Cool A.D. – Da Crowd Pleaser, is the founder and visionary behind FONYE Network (Flying Over New York Entertainment). With over four decades of DJ experience, including more than 40 years as a professional DJ, Adam has built a career spanning music, broadcasting, live event production, and cruise-based entertainment.
Adam began DJing in 1981 and transitioned into professional work in 1985, developing a reputation for reading crowds, blending genres, and delivering high-energy performances across clubs, events, and large-scale productions. His hands-on experience across multiple entertainment environments laid the foundation for what would become the multi-division FONYE Network.

PIONEER IN CRUISE SHIP ENTERTAINMENT
Adam is recognized as one of the earliest hip-hop pioneer DJs to be formally contracted by a major cruise line. He conceptualized, created, and launched the original “NY Night Club Night” aboard the MV Royal Majesty, bringing authentic New York nightlife culture and hip-hop energy to cruise ship entertainment for the first time.
Following that success, Adam went on to design and produce a full 1970s & 1980s Disco Theme Night for Premier Cruise Lines. He was subsequently appointed to train, mentor, and develop DJs across ten cruise ships, helping establish entertainment standards, consistency, and programming quality across the fleet.
